The day before Bitcoin believers around the world celebrated the first Bitcoin transaction for two Papa Johns pizzas, a group of U.S. and Canadian regulators revealed Operation Cryptosweep, an extensive operation looking into nearly 70 inquiries of alleged cryptocurrency fraud. To add insult to injury, on Wednesday, the fourth largest cryptocurrency, Bitcoin Cash, dropped to its lowest level in a month, recovering slightly before the week's end. But it wasn't all bad news for blockchain on what might accurately be dubbed Bitcoin Pizza week. Also on Wednesday, one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges in the world, Coinbase, announced it has purchased an Ethereum startup with the potential to reimagine the way it serves many of its customers, and computer giant IBM unveiled new camera technology designed in part to give those using blockchain to track diamonds a way to ensure the diamonds really are what they seem to be.
