Stanford's Bitcoin Mafia, Hundreds Of Blockchain Job Openings, More Exchange Hacks

Mar 09, 2018

The crypto markets slid this week, with Bitcoin dropping below $10,000 and Ethereum also falling by nearly 20%. Investors were rattled by a possible hack of top crypto exchange Binance, and the SEC issued a warning on "potentially unlawful" exchanges, giving investors a laundry list of questions to consider before using one. Mt. Gox was in the news again, as the bankruptcy trustee of the failed exchange revealed that he sold about $400 million worth of Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash over the past few months, and some speculated that those sales have driven Bitcoin's fall in 2018. But it wasn't all bad news. Tiny European country Liechtenstein is embracing virtual currencies. Former Stanford classmates are making a splash in crypto, and Accenture, with some 500 positions available, has more blockchain job openings than any company in the world.
