Those bots are now active on cryptocurrency platforms. It's possible that if you've bought or sold Bitcoin or Ethereum, the buyer agreeing to take your order was not some cryptocurrency enthusiast in Silicon Valley but a piece of software on a server in Shanghai. It's not an entirely new development.
